July turns dark

In the July 2019 sky we will have two eclipses one on July 2 and one on July 16-17.

The July 2, 2019 there will be a Total Solar Eclipse whose shadow will take over parts of South America and part of the Pacific Ocean. Chile and Argentina in particular will be completely covered by darkness. While Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay and Paraguay will see the eclipse as partial. The time when the Solar Eclipse will be active around the globe is. 6:55 p.m. to 11:50 p.m.. It will not be visible in Italy, but the solar eclipse also has an effect in areas where it is not visible, although in a smaller proportion.

The Solar Eclipse, as usual, will be followed by a'Partial Lunar Eclipse on July 16-17. This will be visible over most of the globe. The time when the Lunar Eclipse will be active on the globe is as of 8:43 p.m. (of July 16) 2:17 a.m. (of July 17).

During these periods you must protect yourself so that your mind does not absorb the eclipse's negative and obscuring energy.

The influence of the Eclipse

An eclipse whether visible or not has an effect on the whole world. Worldwide. the eclipse manifests its effect in the previous month and in the six months following at the event.

So we need to watch what happens in the world from mid-June 2019 until January 2020. Above all, we keep an eye on The areas where solar eclipses Have been visible. But not only that!

The influence the eclipse has on the world depends on many factors: the Ascendant of the eclipse, the Nakṣatra involved, the aspects that the planets give to the eclipse, the Vedic month in which the eclipse happens (uttarāyana or dakṣināyana), the Sign in which the eclipse occurs, the directions in which the eclipse is visible, the duration of the eclipse, the magnitude, the part of the day/night (divided into sects) in which the eclipse begins, peaks and ends.

Combinations to have an eclipse

In the Vedic Astrological Chart, the eclipse is indicated by the following combinations:

conjunction of the Sun and Moon (i.e., a New Moon) in the Lunar Node axis (Rāhu or Ketu) forms a'Solar Eclipse. As it happens in the July 2 eclipse (Astrological chart at Left).

the opposition of the Sun and Moon (i.e., a Full Moon) in the axis of the Lunar Nodes (Rāhu and Ketu) forms a'Lunar Eclipse. As it happens in the July 16-17 eclipse. (Astrological chart at right).

So our two July eclipses consist of a Total Solar Eclipse and a Partial Lunar Eclipse.

Eclipse types

Varāhamihira - Indian mathematician, astronomer and astrologer of the 6th century CE - in his text Bṛhat Saṃhitā describes 10 types of eclipses that are related to the characteristics and movement of the shadow: Savya, Apasavya, Leha, Grasana, Nirodha, Avamardana, Āroha, Āghrāta, Madhyatamas and Tamontya. Each of these is described in chapter five of the Bṛhat Saṃhitā in verses 43 to 52.

Consider that, for obvious reasons, eclipses can be a mix of these categories.

Rahu wants to swallow the Sun

Eclipses move the world, move major events. But at the same time, eclipses have a great influence on us.

During the eclipse, the Sun-representing life, the soul, political leaders, the father, success-is obscured by the dark side of the Moon, the lunar node called Rahu. Rahu is represented by a head, full of desires, with no body. An arch-enemy of the Sun, in Vedic imagery, Rahu tries to swallow solar energy, never being able to digest it.

The absence of light, darkness, brings extreme transition periods as birth (in the womb the light is completely obscured) and death. Every change, every transformation, is a pair of opposites: something dies and something is born.

Only the Atma, the self, remains immune from duality-being eternal and unchanging in nature-just as the Sun cannot be ultimately killed by Rahu, but only momentarily covered. This metaphor hints at the Enormous spiritual possibilities of the eclipse.

But from a material perspective, the effect of the eclipse is hardly positive and needs remedies.

Stop. Do nothing before....

The effect of the eclipse can be felt as far as several weeks before of the event, and persists for at least six mesi later.

Okay, the eclipse has influence on a worldwide level, but also on a personal level. The personal influence depends on your natal chart and whether some of your fundamental Planets or Houses are connected to the eclipse. If so, those areas of life can receive a major influence. Have you prepared properly?

One key thing: Don't make any major decisions on the following days:

10 days before the solar eclipse i.e. June 22 to July 2, 2019

3 days before the lunar eclipse or from the July 13 to July 17, 2019

because the mind can be completely obscured by Rahu and your choices can lead to unpleasant situations. You can think, plan (on paper), brainstorm but don't start anything, at least until the eclipse allows.

The things we do before the eclipse tend to fail. Don't start new projects. Avoid arguments with those around you, postpone any clarification or breakup with your partner. Don't take negativity in relationships seriously, wait for the eclipse to pass. It will pass I assure you!

Rāhu amplifies and magnifies problems by taking them to extremes. Relationships that break down in the vicinity of the eclipse bring long-term problems.

In any case you too can ride the energy of the eclipse, as long as you get on the right ship: the mantras, fasting and prayers.

The Solar Eclipse of July 2, 2019

The July 2, 2019 eclipse is a Total Solar Eclipse so it can be Leha (licking), Nirodha (imprisoned), Avamardana (oppressive) and Tamontya (dark at the edges). This is in areas where the eclipse will be total such as Argentina and Chile. While other areas in South America and the Pacific Ocean will see the eclipse as partial. Grasana (phagocytized) happens when at least 25%, 30% and 50% (different degrees of intensity) of the solar disk is obscured.

In particular, it is necessary to see if clouds or other effects cover the Sun immediately after the eclipse (creating darkness again) and fall into the Āroha category. Certain phenomena should be observed directly during the eclipse.

States where the partial eclipse will be visible to more than 25% will suffer the effect of the eclipse. The higher the percentage of shadow, the more effect the eclipse will have.

The time when the Solar Eclipse will be active on the globe is from 6:55 p.m. to 11:50 p.m.. It will not be visible in Italy, but the solar eclipse also has an effect in areas where it is not visible, although to a lesser proportion.

L'July 2 eclipse is also Savya (left to right). Varāhamihira explains that this can cause-in areas where the eclipse is visible-. severe flooding and climate problems, but this does not afflict people in general.

In particular, the regions where theeclipse is visible to the sandhya (sunrise or sunset) will see financial pressures or problems with political leaders and government. This rule applies only to those regions where the eclipse is visible at sunrise or sunset.

Venus: Watch out for relationships!

The eclipse's conjunction with Venus may create more problems in the interpersonal relations.

Venus and Rahu can also create a distortion of sexual energy. I advise you to think carefully before starting a relationship. Do not mistake falling in love (and passion) for love.

So beware of this powerful energy that can take the path of the "dark side of the force" because of Rahu. The best way to channel this energy is through art and service to others.

At the international level, there may be problems at the diplomatic level. Diplomatic relations may take unusual paths that can confuse alliances and create tensions. The Lunar Eclipse of July 16-17, 2019

On the night of July 16-17, 2019, there will be a Partial Lunar Eclipse. The time when the lunar eclipse will be active in the globe is as of 8:43 p.m. (of July 16) 2:17 a.m. (of July 17).

Although the eclipse will be partial, this does not exempt us from the influences that this 'delicate' moment can project on us, especially on our minds. Therefore, the Eclipse of the Moon is a suitable time to gather and recite mantra, to free the mind from the influence of Rahu, which creates confusion, fear and anxiety. In fact, the Rahu and Moon conjunction creates a variety of disorders at the psychological level.
Here, in a society as neurotic as the one we live in, we cannot afford not to take serious precautions!

Material or Spiritual Eclipses?

Another factor to consider is whether the eclipse happens on the Ketu side-that is, the mystical and spiritual side-or on the Rāhu side, the materialistic side. Eclipses can happen on either side of the Lunar Nodes (ascending or descending).

Rāhu (North Node) indicates the materialistic side of life, caught up in passions and desires. Rāhu makes us "lost" in this world. Ketu (South Node) indicates the spiritual side, the higher vision and the call to a mission. Ketu gives detachment and a broader perspective.

Identify the 4 energies of the eclipse

So there are 4 energies that are created by the eclipse. These four energies allow one to be able to direct one's prayers in a more focused way because the eclipse amplifies a particular energy. The four energies are as follows:

Solar eclipse: energy manifests in inner work. To what purpose?

Lunar Eclipse: energy manifests in the world, causes you to be social, to be in society. What is the purpose of being in the world?

Praying according to the 4 energies

If you pray in line with the eclipse energies, your wishes will be fulfilled. But remember that the means by which you "send" your prayers to their destination are Mantras:

We have a tremendous need for good role models, for places where we can find refuge and cultivate the primary purpose of existence: to fulfill ourselves spiritually. You can pray for your spiritual progress, for your growth, for your emancipation, for liberation, for Love for God, for enlightenment.

Eclipse protection practices

The practices (more or less complicated) to be performed before and during the eclipse are revealed by Matsya to Manu and codified in Chapter 67 of the Matsya Purāṇa. In this article we will list some of them (simple and practical).

The main points are:

Fasting

The eclipse has an influence on food, so it would be good to fast during the eclipse. It is clear that drugs, alcohol and any substance that can amplify the eclipse effect should be avoided. Especially avoid grains if you are not successful in complete fasting. In particular, it would be best to fast 12 hours before and after a solar eclipse. Or 6 hours before And six hours later from the lunar eclipse.. Think you can't do it? Okay, halve the time 6 hours for Sun and 3 hours for Moon. Can't succeed? At least one hour.... After all, don't you often tell me you want to start a diet?

Water is the ultimate purifying element. It would be a good practice to take a bath before and a bath after the eclipse.

Eclipse and Mantra

During the eclipse it is necessary to recite mantras to be protected from Rāhu's dark energy. The Maha Mantra Is the most powerful mantra for our era.

The Kalisaṃtaraṇa-upaniṣad says in this regard: "At the end of the Dvāpara-yuga-after traveling all over the Earth-Nārada went to Brahmā and asked him, "O Lord, how can I cross this ocean called Kali-yuga?" Brahmā replied, "From your question all mankind will benefit; listen to the secret hidden in the Śruti, by discovering this one can cross the world of Kali-yuga: by chanting the names of the Divine Person, of Nārāyaṇa, the evil of Kali-yuga can be erased." Nārada asked again, "Which of the holy names should we chant?" He [Brahmā] replied:

"hare kṛṣṇa hare kṛṣṇa

kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa hare hare

hare rāma hare rāma

rāma rāma hare hare."

only in this way, by reciting the sixteen names can we destroy the evil of Kali-yuga; there are no other remedies anywhere in the Veda."

Additional remedies include reciting the Devata mantra associated with the Nakṣatra (constellation of the Moon) in which the Moon and Sun conjoin to form the eclipse.

NO MANTRA NO PARTY!

Especially the eclipses of the moon give a special blessing (phala-śruti). If during the eclipse period we recite at least two 108-fold cycles of the maha-mantra and at the same time we make a wish, this will be fulfilled very soon. Depending on our level of consciousness we will either aspire to a material desire or a spiritual request.
It is very simple: just gather for a moment (we can find a time slot even if we are at work) and recite (for two cycles of 108) the maha-mantra.

Try it to believe.
